Term 4 Week 1

We have had a fantastic start to our term and are settling into our new space brilliantly.  The children have been really settled and we are really enjoying our new classroom.  The children are also enjoying their new play and lunch time play space.

We have welcomed Mr Mouat on Monday and feel very lucky to have him as our principal.

This week we have started back up our CCC - so once again, we would welcome any recycling items you may have at home.

You should have received a letter that came home on Thursday in regards to our Beach Education trip.  We would loved this filled in and returned as soon as possible.

Our syndicate newsletter, is posted below - make sure you have a read about what is coming up this term.

Eco Explorers
This term our big idea is caring for ourselves and our environment.
This will include an exciting trip to Sumner Beach.  The children will investigate objects found on the beach and identify various ways we can all help to care for our coastal areas.

You will have received a permission slip and parent help form in regards to this trip.  Please can you complete these and return to your child’s home room teacher asap.

In Mathematics, along with Numeracy our strand focus is Measurement.
We will be learning about capacity, length and area.

In Physical Education we will continue with our usual
fitness programme and we will also focus on specific skills for
our Athletics Sports.  More information about this
later in the term.

It is compulsory for children to wear a uniform hat at school this term.
Please ensure your child has a clearly named hat every day.  If you would
like to personalise your child’s hat to make it easier for them to identify that
would be great. If your child is not wearing a hat, they will not be allowed to play in the playground.

If your child is scheduled to have a reporting conference this term you will receive a letter outlining the time and booking details.  Keep an eye out for this in the next couple of weeks.
