Term 1 Week 5

We have welcomed some visitors this week - teachers and children from Pebbles Montessori and teachers from Huntsbury Preschool have been checking out our learning!

Next week. . .

• Letter of the week is Gg
• Thanks to everyone at dropping their children off before the second bell at 8.45 when we will be starting our learning.
• It is best if toys from home can be left at home unless they are on the letter of the week table.
• Remember if you can help with the Botanic Gardens trip to bring forms in please!
• Library day is Wednesday - if books are returned back on the Wednesday no new books will be allowed to be issued.
• Could you please check for school toys at home?  If you find any you may like to discretely return them to a teacher!

Term 1 Week 4

We have had a wonderful week of learning and fun.  We welcome Loic and Rohan who have started this week.  And also a special welcome to our students who are visiting!  

We have started our Eco Explorers this week (this happens on Wednesday afternoon across the Junior School).  We are looking at Native Plants this term!

What is coming up?

• Our letter of the week is Dd - (to our new students, feel free to bring in anything that starts with the letter d and put it on our alphabet table.
• The teachers have a CRT day on Tuesday - so Mrs O'Hara and Ms Sweeney will be in.
• We have a trip coming up to the Botanic Gardens in Week 6, so keep a look out for a note coming home as we will need Parent Help!
• The children are loving our CCC - Create, Construct, Connect on Wednesdays so if you have any recyclables bring them in!

Term 1 Week 3

Welcome to Week 3

• On Monday we had such a fun time at Kelly Sports on Monday, we learnt cricket, touch rugby and ultimate frisbee skills!!  Everyone enjoyed participating - check out the photos!!

We would like to welcome our new students who have started this week and that will be visiting next week!!

• Our library day is Wednesday.  You would have noticed that your child came home with 2 library books on Wednesday in a red folder.  Please make sure the red folders are put back in the 'library box' by Wednesday of the next week!  (Children are able to issue books for 2 weeks, if they are not returned, fines can occur)!

• Your child will be bringing home their little reader book in their blue folder, we encourage your child to read this with you at home.  Also in the blue folder is their home learning book where there are some learning balloons and flowers to complete.  This just reiterates what is practised at school.  At the back of the Home Learning books is a reading log where you can fill in what your child has read as well as any comments!

• CCC - Create, Construct and Connect will be happening every Wednesday.  Recycle materials would be hugely appreciated. Below are some photos of our first 'CCC'.

• Our letter of the week will be Aa - if you have anything for the alphabet table bring it in.

Week 2

We are absolutely having a blast in Explorers One this week.  We have been getting to know each other, sussing out all of the fun toys in Explorers One as well as being introduced to some big reading books.  Feel free to come in and look at our art work we have been doing.  

Week 2 is just around the corner!  Here is what you will need to know for next week!!!

• The letter of the week is Oo - feel free to bring something in from home that begins with the letter o and put it on our alphabet table.
• Our class photos will be on Monday - if you would like a sibling photo please let the office know by Friday.
• On Monday we will also have a session with the Kelly Sports leaders who will teach us some fundamental skills.
• On Wednesday we will be using our 'Making Box' for activities, if you have any recycling boxes or milk bottle lids - or anything that would be useful for construction - bring it in!!
